Locked On: Should Steelers Play It Safe with George Pickens Hamstring Injury?
Locked On Steelers Podcast: What does Arthur Smith unlocking the middle of the field do for the Steelers offense?
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens miss Sunday’s 27-14 Steelers win over the Cleveland Browns with a hamstring injury, one that popped up late in the week.
Since ruling him out against the Browns, the Steelers have learned that Pickens has a Grade 2 strain, which could keep him out this coming Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, as well.
Pickens has never missed a game, and certainly didn’t seem too injured when he spoken to the media last Friday, but should the Steelers be extra cautious with their star receiver as they enter the toughest stretch of their schedule.
Alan Saunders joined Chris Carter on the Locked On Podcast to discuss Pickens’ injury situation, as well as give out stars and skulls grades from the Week 14 win over the Browns. The guys also talked about the improvement along the offensive line the second time around against the Browns, and whether or not to be concerned about recent developments in the secondary.
