Plenty has been made about the Pittsburgh Steelers and the team’s need to add to the wide receiver position beyond third-year star George Pickens. But what about the team getting improvement from Pickens himself?

Both Van Jefferson and Russell Wilson said this week that they’ve been impressed by Pickens’ work ethic since joining the Steelers. If Pickens can become a more well-rounded receiver, and fully realize his potential, that would go a long way to shoring up the Steelers wide receiver room.

Alan Saunders joined Chris Carter on the Locked On Podcast to discuss the Pickens’ potential, how Van Jefferson fits into the mix as both a second wide receiver and as a leader of the room, and broke down two potential Steelers trade targets revealed on Monday: Denver Broncos veteran Tim Patrick and Houston Texans third-year receiver John Metchie III.

Alan and Chris also talked about how Keeanu Benton can be a breakout player for the defense, similarly to Pickens on offense.
