Arizona Cardinals inside linebacker Isaiah Simmons has been talked about as a player that could potentially be traded after this team declined to pick up the fifth-year option on his rookie contract. Should the Pittsburgh Steelers be beating down Arizona’s door for a chance to land the former first-round draft pick?

Omar Khan has not been shy about being a deal-maker so far in his tenure as Steelers general manager, and trading for Simmons would be the kind of aggressive move he’s become known for.

The big question seems to be the uncertainty surrounding Arizona’s intentions. The Cardinals released DeAndre Hopkins in a cap-saving move already this offseason. Are they trying to tear it all down or rebuild on the fly with new head coach Jonathan Gannon and talented but injured quarterback Kyler Murray?

Alan Saunders of Steelers Now joined Chris Carter of the Locked On Steelers podcast to discuss the potential fit between Simmons and the Steelers, and what it might cost Pittsburgh to make such a deal.

Plus, Carter and Saunders broke down Kevin Dotson’s comments on the idea that Broderick Jones might not play in his rookie season, and how the team’s offensive line depth chart looks entering the final week of OTAs.
