The Pittsburgh Steelers have a number of key players entering the final seasons of their contracts, with quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, running backs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren, tight end Pat Freiermuth, guard James Daniels, defensive tackle Cam Heyward and cornerback Donte Jackson all set to hit free agency after this season.

The following year, wide receiver George Pickens, guard Isaac Seumalo and outside linebacker T.J. Watt are added to the mix.

That bumper crop of expiring contracts is one of the reasons the Steelers have the fourth-most salary cap space available for 2025. It also means that general manager Omar Khan can go in a number of directions with the club over the next two offseasons.

Alan Saunders joined Chris Carter on the Locked On Podcast to break down the likelihood of each player landing a big contract extension, what needs to happen for them to become long-term Steelers, and where the road might get bumpy.
