Presumptive Steelers starter Russell Wilson was given a 76 overall in the latest rendition of the Madden franchise ratings. On launch, the nine-time Pro Bowler comes in as the 21st highest rated at his position.

Some of his top attributes are his 91 throw power, 87 throw accuracy on short throws and 85 accuracy on his deep ball. This type of respect on his arm talent, specifically as it relates to his down the field prowess, should not surprise anyone given his well-earned reputation over the course of his career. His scrambling archetype is also reflected in his solid 86 speed and 88 agility rating.

On the slip side, Justin Fields was rated fairly similarly as he was given a 75 overall. Currently, he’s the 24th highest rated quarterback in the game.

Just as you’d expect, most of his top traits in the game revolve around his tantalizing physical tools. The former Buckeye earned a 93 speed, 96 acceleration and 91 overall throw power. As a runner, Fields will look every bit as dangerous in the game as he did during his best times as a Chicago Bears and plenty of gamers will likely be taking full advantage of his athleticism behind center.

Just in case you were wondering, third-string signal caller Kyle Allen received a 60 overall.

Here are training camp, Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith was very complimentary of the progress that Fields has made during the offseason. Due to Wilson’s injury, he’s received essentially all of the first-team reps and has flashed some of the potential that Pittsburgh is hoping to unlock with a fresh change of scenery.

So, Steelers fans are going to have some enticing options to play with when the game comes out in a few weeks.
