Mic Drop: Chris Nowinski on ALS in Athletes, if Football is Safer Today

To truly understand Tunch Ilkin’s ALS diagnosis, Mike Asti spoke with Chris Nowinski, a former college football player and WWE wrestler, who has made it his life’s mission to help educate the public on the effects of brain damage in athletes.

Nowinski explained to Asti what kind of fight Tunch Ilkin will be dealing with, the risk NFL players are taking and why football is actually not safer today than in the past.

Nowinski is the CEO of the Concussion Legacy Foundation, co-founder of the Boston University CTE Center, a neuroscientist, and a former WWE wrestler.
