PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky credited an “aggressive mindset” that led to a “total team win” as he relieved injured starter Kenny Pickett and led his team to a 20-18 upset win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday.

“I try to come with the same mentality when I come into the game, just play each play as its own play and try to do my job,” Trubisky said. “I liked our aggressive mindset in the second half and especially when I came in. I just wanted to continue to carry that. We knew we needed to score to stay out in front and win that game. It was nice to stay on the field in the two-minute and get those victory kneels in. We converted third downs when we needed to. I just came in with an aggressive mindset. All my teammates had my back. We just kind of rallied together and pulled it off as a team.”

Trubisky came in after Pickett suffered a concussion in the third quarter. He connected with Chase Claypool on a 6-yard touchdown in the fourth quarterback that became the game-winning margin of victory.
