PHILADELPHIA — Najee Harris is not happy. At one point in Sunday’s game, the Steelers running back had four carries for zero yards. On the day. he finished with eight carries for 32 yards, but most of that came off one big 18-yard rip from Harris. Moving forward, Harris is unsure of what else he can do to change what is going on with the Steelers’ rushing attack.

“I’ve never had a stat like that before,” Harris said. “I can’t make a hole. I can’t do everything. I try to control what I can control. I don’t know what more I can do other than just vocalize it. At the end of the day, everybody has to do their job.”

Harris does not know where to go from here, but he is not happy with the team overall. With Kenny Pickett struggling as well, the Steelers’ offense is only averaging slightly over 14 points per game. It is the worst average for the Steelers under Mike Tomlin, and there is not much left to do. Harris even notes that the Steelers are emphasizing things such as pre-snap penalties in practice, but it all just keeps happening again and again.

“We lack a lot of experience, we lack a lot of discipline, accountability,” Harris said.

What often seems the definition of insanity is doing the same things again. Harris feels that is what is happening right now for Pittsburgh offensively. They need a jolt of some kind, but through quarterback changes and more, nothing has seemed to work for the Steelers.

“Ain’t that crazy? You see what’s happening now,” Harris said. “We said the same stuff last week. And the week before that.”

Najee Harris is experiencing something he has never before had to experience, and that is the feeling of struggling. He is struggling, the offense is struggling, and the Steelers overall are struggling. The Eagles were the latest team to thwart Pittsburgh’s offense and Harris himself. It seems like there is not a breakthrough on the horizon, and the Steelers feel largely like they are stuck in limbo.
