Steelers Running Back Najee Harris Tied for 6th-Best Offensive Rookie of the Year Odds
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris is tied for the sixth-best odds to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Harris is listed at 14/1 to be honored with the award, the same odds as his Alabama teammate and new Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.
Selected with the 24th pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Harris is expected to taken on a sizable workload in his first season with the Steelers. If he has the production Pittsburgh is banking on, Harris should be a bonafide Rookie of the Year candidate by season’s end.
A two-year starter for the Crimson Tide, Harris dominated last season during his senior campaign in Tuscaloosa. He rushed for 1,466 yards and 26 touchdowns. Harris also improved his stock as a receiver, snagging 43 receptions for 425 yards and four more scores in 2020.
Not only did Harris win the National Championships with the Crimson Tide in January, but he was also named a unanimous All-American and awarded the Doak Walker Award as the nation’s top running back.
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is the clear cut favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year at 13/4.
