Nevada QB Carson Strong Addresses Mobility Concerns

Carson Strong

MOBILE, Ala. — Nevada quarterback Carson Strong believes he is more mobile than the showed in the 2021 season, coming off a knee injury, and he wants everyone to know it.

The least prolific rusher of the six senior quarterbacks gather in Mobile for the 2022 Senior Bowl, Strong knows that he’s being judged against players that possess a skillset that he doesn’t necessarily have when it comes to running the ball, even if he’s healthier and more mobile now than the was at the start of the season.

But Strong still thinks his combination of ability to extend plays, knowledge of defenses and downfield passing ability can be a winning combination in the NFL.

“I’m definitely not Lamar Jackson by any means,” Strong said. “I definitely have to beat teams with my mind. What I put on tape this past season, I’ll admit, I was a statue, especially the first half of the year, coming off my surgery and not being all the way ready. But I did get better and I do feel like I can step up in the pocket, extend plays and keep my eyes down field.”
