NFL Foundation Announces $1M Donation Towards Hurricane Ida Relief Efforts
The NFL Foundation is contributing $1 million towards Hurricane Ida relief efforts with a donation to the New Orleans Saints Gulf Coast Renewal Fund, the league announced in a press release Wednesday.
They are also working with the New Orleans Saints to identify organizations assisting people and communities around Louisiana.
The league’s donation matches one made by Saints owner Gayle Benson announced on Monday.
Other NFL owners have joined in on the relief effort as well, as the Atlanta Falcons’ Arthur Blank, the Baltimore Ravens’ Steve Bisciotti and the Carolina Panthers’ David Tepper have each contributed $1 million.
“The entire NFL family stands with those impacted by the storm and will continue to look for additional ways to provide aid and to support the greater New Orleans area and beyond in the months ahead,” the league said in the release.
