NFL Free Agency Rundown: Steelers Miss on Another Top CB, Murphy

NFL free agency is off to a hot start as several players have already found their homes for the 2025 season.

Quarterback Dominoes
- Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold is signing a three-year, $110.5 million deal with the Seattle Seahawks. The 27-year-old threw for a career-high 4,319 yards and 35 touchdowns in 2024.
- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields is signing a two-year, $40 million deal with the New York Jets. The 26-year-old threw for 1,106 yards, five touchdowns and just one interception while leading the Steelers to a 4-2 start in 2024.
- Minnesota Vikings quarterback Daniel Jones is signing a one-year, $14 million deal with the Indianapolis Colts. The 27-year-old threw for 2,070 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions in 10 starts with the Giants before the team ultimately released him.
Playmakers
- Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is resigning with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a three-year, $66 million deal. The 29-year-old had 50 catches for 576 yards and five touchdowns in seven games before suffering a season-ending ankle injury in 2024.
- Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton is resigning with New York on a three-year, $36 million deal. The 28-year-old had 39 catches for 573 yards and two touchdowns in 2024.
