The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly hosting former Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton for a pre-draft visit on Tuesday, according to Jordan Schultz. Hamilton visiting this spring had previously been reported by NFL Network. This is the final week for draft prospects to visit the club.

Considered one of the top prospects in the entire draft, it is unlikely that Hamilton will still be available when the Steelers pick at No. 20, but the team appears to be doing its due diligence none the less.

A consensus All-American a season ago, Hamilton recorded 138 tackles, eight interceptions, 16 passes defended and a defensive score over his three years in South Bend.

While much of the Steelers’ attention throughout the draft process has been focused on quarterbacks, Pittsburgh still does not have a starting safety to play alongside Minkah Fitzpatrick.

The team has been pursuing free agent Tyrann Mathieu and incumbent starter Terrell Edmunds remains available as a free agent, as well.
