Odds: AFC West Has Best Chances of Producing AFC, Super Bowl Champs
Three AFC North teams made the postseason in 2020 and expectations are high for the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers again in 2021, while the Cincinnati Bengals should improve with a full season of quarterback Joe Burrow.
But oddsmakers don’t think the best teams in the AFC reside in the division.
According to odds released on Monday by BetOnline.ag, the AFC North has 5/2 odds of producing the AFC Champion, tied for the second-best of the four AFC divisions. The AFC West has the best odds at 7/5, with the AFC East and AFC North tied at 5/2 and the AFC South at 13/2.
When it comes to crowning a Super Bowl champion, the AFC North is once again tied with the east for the fourth-best odds at 21/4.
The AFC West, home to Super Bowl favorites the Kansas City Chiefs, has the best odds at 11/4. The NFC South, with defending champs Tampa Bay, has 17/4 odds. The NFC West is third with 9/2 odds.
The AFC South has the worst odds of producing the Super Bowl LVI champ at 14/1.
