With the Pittsburgh Steelers I need of a running back, odds have been released for where the top prospects at the position will be taken in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft.

Alabama’s Najee Harris, who is the consensus top rusher, is the favorite to be the first running back off the board at 5/6.

Harris is followed by Clemson’s Travis Etienne (13/10) and North Carolina’s Javonte Williams (13/4). The over/under for what pick Harris will be drafted at is currently set at 32.5. Harris has been a popular projection to the Steelers in mock drafts for months. The Steelers pick at No. 24.

A consensus All-American and Doak Walker Award winner a season ago, he would provide an immediate lift to an abysmal rushing attack that was the NFL’s worst in 2020.

In addition, the over/under for running backs selected in the first round of the NFL Draft is listed at 1/2.The over is -250, while the under is +170. The latter two props indicate that while there are plenty of teams in need of help at the running back position, oddsmakers believe there is no guarantee clubs will splurge for one in the first round.

The 2021 NFL Draft kicks off Thursday, April 29 in Cleveland.
