Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen ripped Washington Commanders tight end John Bates for accusing him of being a dirty player. Bates and Queen got tangled up during Sunday’s game but it wasn’t clear what happened during the broadcast.
“I was just playing through the whistle, just the way I play,” Bates told reporters after the game. “If you go back and watch the film, in my opinion, it was him trying to do something dirty to me. Things happened and it is what it is.”
Patrick Queen responded on X, “Tried to dump me so I dumped him. If he still mad I ain’t hard to find.”

Queen had his best game as a Steeler on Sunday, recording seven total tackles (six solos), two tackles for loss and one pass defended. He was all over the field.
Commanders star rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels was averaging 51 rushing yards per game coming into Week 10. The Steelers held him to 5. His second lowest total is 22. Queen played a big part in limiting Daniels.

Sunday’s game was certainly chippy, as Steelers wide receiver George Picken also got into a skirmish with Commanders cornerback Mike Sainristil. Instead of chasing Commaders safety Jeremy Chinn after an interception late in the third quarter, Pickens went after Sainristil who attempted to throw a block on him.
Pickens simply said “yeah” when asked if he was certain that he tagged Chinn following the interception. That’s why he let some frustration out on Saintristil.
“Guy tried to get physical with me. A lot of guys like to do that so I got physical back,” Pickens said. “That’s pretty much it.”
