Rookie left tackle Dan Moore Jr. has been one of the pleasant surprises of Steelers training camp, and the numbers seem the back that up.

According to Pro Football Focus, Moore is their highest-graded rookie this preseason at 82.1.

After a strong showing in the Hall of Fame Game as the starter at left tackle, Moore impressed again Thursday night running with the second team.

Not only was Moore steady and nimble in pass protection, but he was also a road grader in the run game alongside second-year guard Kevin Dotson.

Pittsburgh selected Moore in the fourth round of April’s draft out of Texas A&M. He earned Second-Team All-SEC honors in 2020.

Moore is not the only Steeler earning recognition from PFF, as linebacker Buddy Johnson and defensive lineman Isaiahh Loudermilk are the third and fifth highest-grades rookies, respectively.
