Pittsburgh CLO to Host Anniversary Celebrations at Heinz Field

The Steelers and Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera are partnering to bring a taste of Broadway to Heinz Field this summer.

Pittsburgh CLO has been unable to hold performances at the Benedum Center for the last year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but they are pulling out all the stops in celebration of their 75th anniversary.

They will put on a pair of musical theater performances at Heinz Field in July.

The first performance will be a production of “The Wizard of Oz” and run from July 8-10.

The second, “Pittsburgh CLO’s 75th Anniversary: A Broadway Musical Celebration,” will run from July 21-24 and feature music from “An American In Paris,” “Dreamgirls,” “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” “The Color Purple,” “In The Heights,” “The Student Prince” and more.

The performances will require face masks and social distancing measures will be enforced.

Tickets for both shows will go on sale June 7.
