Pittsburgh Steelers assistant offensive line coach Isaac Williams will coach the offensive linemen for the American Team at the 2024 Senior Bowl, the organization announced on Monday.

The Steelers will likely be looking for linemen in Mobile during the Senior Bowl week, which runs from Jan. 30 to Feb. 4. They have needs at both center and tackle entering the 2024 offseason.

“Here you go, Steelers fans,” Senior Bowl director Jim Nagy wrote on X. “You want them to draft OL, this group is a good place to start. We know Mike Tomlin will be up in middle of those OL/DL 1-on-1’s.”

The linemen that are scheduled to work with the American Team include TCU Tackle Brandon Coleman, Miami guard Javion Cohen, Kentucky tackle Jeremy Flax, Missouri tackle Javon Foster, Maryland tackle Delmar Glaze, Oklahoma tackle Tyler Guyton, UConn guard Christian Haynes, Texas tackle Christian Jones, Arkansas center Beaux Limmer, Houston tackle Patrick Paul, Oklahoma center Andrew Raym, Texas A&M guard Layden Robinson, LSU center Charles Turner and Georgia center Sedrick Van Pran.

Van Pran is considered one of the top centers in the draft class, and the Steelers will almost certainly be looking to draft one, as incumbent starter Mason Cole struggled in 2023 and is entering the final year of his contract.

The Steelers were represented by two coaches as the 2023 Senior Bowl, as secondary coach Grady Brown was a defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach Denzel Martin was a defensive line coach for the game. The Steelers ended up drafting defensive tackle Keeanu Benton from the 2023 Senior Bowl roster.

Last year was the first year that the Senior Bowl went to an all-star coaching staff. Before that, one team from each conference would send its entire coaching staff to Mobile. The new format is designed to give multiple teams chances to get up close and personal with prospects and to let developing coaches get a chance to show their skills at a higher level.

Williams joined the Steelers on March 15, 2022 as assistant offensive line coach after he spent time at Northern Colorado, Morgan State and North Carolina Central at the college level. He was also run game coordinator and tight ends coach at Morgan State. He has spent each of the last two years working under Steelers offensive line coach Pat Meyer.

A former offensive lineman at Alcorn State from 2008 to 2011, Williams was a two-time all-conference selection. He was a four-year starter under Earnest Collins Jr. while playing at Alcorn State and a team captain three years in a row.

Indianapolis Colts coach Chris Watt will also work with the American Team’s offensive line.
