Steelers Daily: Ben Roethlisberger Beats Harry Kane, Talks Golf Game
Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger beat Tottenham Totspur forward Harry Kane as Team USA won the Ryder Cup-style Icons Series celebrity golf tournament.
The event, held at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey this week, finished with the singles event, and Roethlisberger beating Kane was the first of eight singles win for Team USA, which beat Team ROTW (rest of the world), 21.5-11.5 in the event.
After the match, Roethlisberger said he gets more nervous playing golf than he did leading the Steelers in the Super Bowl.
More from Steelers rookie Kenny Pickett after his special day in his New Jersey hometown on Friday:
“I’m kind of just reminded to always give back and put smiles on kids faces, that’s really special,” Pickett said. “Every kid out here was smiling and having a great time. That’s what it’s all about. I’m really happy we had this day and I’m incredibly grateful to have the field named after me where I played Pop Warner and I hope kids enjoy it for years to come.”
