? Former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Rod Woodson thinks some Steelers fans need to be careful with what they wish for in not wanting Mike Tomlin as their head coach.
“(The Steelers) have talent but it’s sporadic. It’s not across the board. For how (Tomlin) is still winning the majority of his games year in and year out, it’s been amazing,” Woodson said on the Jim Rome Show. “So you have to be very careful with what you wish for. Because if you get rid of Mike Tomlin, who are you gonna bring in? Like who’s going to be better than Mike? I love Mike and if anybody is ever in the room. I sat in there one time listening to him speak to the team and when he got done, I walked up to him and said, ‘Man, if I could still play, I would play for you.'”
? Since entering the league in 2022, Steelers wide receiver George Pickens has averaged 16.9 yards per reception. That’s the highest of any wide receiver in that span, https://twitter.com/StatsGuyDaniel/status/1755277955515769177″>according
to Daniel Valente of The Score.

? The Steelers are in the Final Four in Jason and Travis Kelce’s best NFL team name bracket for their New Heights podcast. The Steelers are against the Bills, while the Eagles are facing off against the Vikings. Jason Kelce is riding with the Steelers again.
“As much as I love both of these names, to me there is one clear favorite, and I have endorsed this team the entire competition, and will continue to endorse the Pittsburgh Steelers as the greatest name in the NFL. Fandom aside, what it represents is just too good to deny,” https://twitter.com/JasonKelce/status/1754659453524197667″>Jason

? Jay Glazer of FOX Sports said it’s Pittsburgh or nothing for Mike Tomlin. Glazer is close friends with Tomlin. There were rumors late in the season that Tomlin might leave the Steelers and take a year off from coaching.
“People (were) acting like he was going to get fired, he wasn’t going to get fired. You’re not gonna fire Mike Tomlin,” Glazer said on the Pat McAfee Show. “At one point I know there were teams that were hoping that maybe he could be available, so they were going to be lining up for him. And he would never want to do it. He was like I’m going to Pittsburgh or nothing. … He made it clear to me, I’m not going anywhere else.”

to Pro Football Focus, Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. had a 65.6 grade, 10 forced incompletions, one interception and two tackles for loss/no gain in 2023. ? Former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell https://twitter.com/Mazursky8895/status/1755392923892424736″>hinted
that he had a great call with Mike Tomlin. Last weekend, Bell announced that he intends to start training for an NFL return. But Bell implied that he only wanted to return to play for the Steelers, where he had the most prolific stretch of his NFL career.
? Skip Bayless said the Steelers’ 1978 squad was the best Super Bowl-winning team ever. The Steelers defeated the Dallas Cowboys, 35-31, at the Orange Bowl in Miami in Super Bowl XIII. Bayless covered the Cowboys for the Dallas Morning News at the time.
“Super Bowl 13 featured the greatest collection of talent in a championship game I have ever seen on any field, any floor, any championship in any sport you ever want to talk about,” Bayless said on Wednesday’s episode of the Undisputed. “Lynn Swann was on his team, but Terry Bradshaw was the regular-season MVP that year in 1978. And he was the Super Bowl MVP because he threw for 318 yards on a hellacious good defense in the days when nobody threw. That was the most yards anybody ever thrown at that point in a Super Bowl.
“We’re talking both sides of the ball were just flat-out loaded. You got Franco (Harris) and Lynn Swann and John Stallworth and Mike Webster, center, who was maybe the greatest center ever. They had 13 either Pro Bowlers or first-team or second-team All-Pros, 13 out of 22. On defense, it’s the Steel Curtain with Mean Joe Greene and the two linebackers are Jack Ham and Jack Lambert.”
