? The Pittsburgh Steelers had two running backs this season with 1,100+ yards from scrimmage — Najee Harris (1,205)
and Jaylen Warren (1,154). The Detroit Lions with the duo of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs were the only other team to do so.

? Dane Brugler of The Athletic said that Mike Tomlin was locked in on the defensive line drills at the Senior Bowl, specifically Ohio State defensive tackle Michael Hall. He chatted Hall up after each rep.

? Matt Harmon of Yahoo Sports is all-in on the Steelers decision to hire former Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith as their new offensive coordinator.

? Former Steelers offensive lineman Trai Essex thinks the hiring of Arthur Smith speaks to Kenny Pickett’s limitations.

“This hire just tells me they see Kenny’s limitations and want to emphasize the run game and take as much as they can off the QBs plate,” Essex wrote on X. “Hoping to recreate what was in Tennessee from a few years ago. The problem with that is, despite a few playoff wins, there was a hard ceiling with those teams in today’s NFL.”

? Former Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor spoke with Ryan Roberts of Irish Breakdown on why Notre Dame was a perfect fit for his son Ivan Taylor, who’s a 2025 Notre Dame commit. Taylor, who plays at Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange, is recruited to play safety at Notre Dame.

“When you hear about Notre Dame, you think it’s like a really big college,” his father stated. “But Notre Dame is very intimate. It’s a very small private college school, and that’s what I like. Ivan is a very intimate person. His mom is the same way.

“As soon as I saw the Catholic Church, I knew where his mama wanted him to go because you best believe we are hitting the church,” Taylor continued. “Ivan goes to church on his own every Saturday. When I stepped on Notre Dame campus, all the mystique, everything you kind of heard about Notre Dame, the movie Rudy, all that just hits you.

“I had a few teammates, Jerome Bettis went to Notre Dame, Stephon Tuitt went to Notre Dame. You hear about Notre Dame, but until you actually get there, it lives up to the hype.”

? On this day in 2009, the Steelers defeated the Arizona Cardinals, 27-23, in Super Bowl XLIII. It was the franchises sixth Super Bowl title. Below is the legendary game-winning drive directed by Ben Roethlisberger and Santonio Holmes.

? Former NFL offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz posted a two-minute highlight reel of Oregon center Jackson Powers-Johnson physically manhandling his opponent. The Steelers are desperately in need of center in this year’s draft. Powers-Johnson would be an ideal pick.
