🏈 Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin gave Cam Heyward a shoutout on X following his Walter Payton Man of the Year Award speech at NFL Honors.

I am so proud of the man you are. What you do on the field is your job. What you do off the field represents the person you are. You are a true leader on the team and in the community. I am honored to be your coach,” Tomlin wrote.

T.J. Watt also have props to Heyward. “A phenomenal teammate and role model on and off the field‼️ Well deserved captain‼️,” Watt wrote on X.

🏈 Russell Wilson, who won the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2020, gave praise to Cam Heyward for winning the prestigious award.

“Well deserved @CamHeyward !! Truly making a difference in so many lives 🙏🏾. Keep doing the work!! #WPMOY,” Wilson wrote.

🏈 There are only four teams whose quarterback T.J. Watt hasn’t sacked: the Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Steelers play Kansas Cit and the Giants in 2024.

🏈 Steelers inside linebackers coach Aaron Curry wrote on X, “What more y’all want TJ to do?” Watt was snubbed from winning NFL Defensive Player of the Year at NFL Honors on Thursday night. It went to Browns defensive end Myles Garrett instead, despite the fact that Watt had better numbers in almost every major statistical category.

🏈 Former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell was also shocked that T.J. Watt didn’t win DPOY. “How didn’t TJ Watt win DPOY?,” Bell said.

Bell thinks the NFL is just tired of the Watts wining DPOY.  “JJ Watt won defensive player of the year too many times .. they tired of writing “Watt” next to DPOY … so in reality, it’s really nothin TJ could’ve done to win DPOY .. lol TJ, blame ya bro, y’all just too good.”
