The Pittsburgh Steelers finished their preseason undefeated for the first time since 1997, but an injury to T.J. Watt caused controversy both in his deployment and the way he was injured.

The Steelers defense answered the call, as the first team pitched a first-half shutout and the Steelers knocked off the Lions, 19-9 to finish the preseason undefeated.
