On to Buffalo: Steelers Draw Bills in Wild Card Round

The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card Round of the 2023 NFL playoffs. The Steelers and Bills will kick off at 1 p.m. from Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York on Sunday, Jan. 14. The game will be broadcast on CBS and Paramount+.

The Steelers made the playoffs as the No. 7 and final seed in the AFC. The Bills defeated the Miami Dolphins on Sunday Night Football to wrap as the No. 2 seed.

Pittsburgh secured its playoff berth by beating the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night and getting help from the Tennessee Titans earlier on Sunday.

The Steelers and Bills faced each other this preseason in Pittsburgh, with the Steelers winning, 27-15 at Acrisure Stadium. They have played one another in four consecutive regular seasons. The Bills rolled to a huge 38-3 victory in Buffalo last season. The Steelers upset the Bills 23-16 to open the 2021 season. In 2020, the Bills beat the Steelers, 26-15 in Buffalo. Buffalo also won 27-20 in Pittsburgh in 2019.

The teams last met in the postseason in 1996, when the Steelers beat the Bills, 40-21 in the AFC Divisional Playoff at Three Rivers Stadium on Jan. 6, 1996. The teams have never played a postseason game in Buffalo.
