Final Word: What Should Steelers Do at Offensive Coordinator, Quarterback?

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin made it clear that he is returning for the 2024 season, and likely beyond, at his season-ending press conference last week following the Steelers’ elimination from the playoffs.

While that reduces a lot of the uncertainty surround the team’s 2024 offseason, there is still a ton of work for Tomlin and company, particularly with the offense, where the team needs to hire a new coordinator to replace fired Matt Canada. Tomlin made it clear that it won’t be an internal hire this time around and that he would prefer someone with NFL play-calling experience.

What they do at coordinator will likely go hand-in-hand with the situation at quarterback, where Mitch Trubisky will likely not be retained and Mason Rudolph is set to hit free agency with an uncertain future.
