Steelers Injury Updates: Larry Ogunjobi Sits Out Practice

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers open a new week with many questions about what the team will do moving forward. Minkah Fitzpatrick (chest) was released from the hospital on Tuesday morning, and Mike Tomlin seemed optimistic about his inclusion in the game on Sunday. He returned to practice on Thursday in a limited fashion. Fitzpatrick said he will play on Sunday.

Of the known injuries, Elandon Roberts (stinger) did not show up on the report, showing he is a full participant and okay. Wide receiver Gunner Olszewski (concussion) is recovering from but did not practice for the second straight day. Lastly, Larry Ogunjobi did not practice with a foot injury from training camp he is still dealing with. That is the second straight missed practice for Ogunjobi.

However, multiple new injuries popped up. Markus Golden (knee) appeared on the report for the first time on Wednesday. He returned to practice after missing practice on Wednesday. Another starting safety, Damontae Kazee, suffered a calf injury and sat out on Wednesday but returned to full participation on Thursday. Meanwhile, tight end Darnell Washington practiced on a limited basis Thursday.

Guard Isaac Seumalo and cornerback Patrick Peterson did not practice on Wednesday with veteran’s days off. They returned to practice on Thursday.
