PITTSBURGH — The Steelers OTAs schedule continues on Wednesday as the sessions enter their end period, with Thursday being the last session for the team overall until mandatory minicamp a week later. On Wednesday, Kenny Pickett and Najee Harris worked closely with one another.

The quarterback and running back duo have high expectations for themselves, as they head into their second and third year respectively. With Jaylen Warren in the running back room as well, the team expects the rushing game to be the crux of the offense that should drive them forward. Meanwhile, Pickett is looking to make a second-year leap with the Steelers that will propel him toward franchise quarterback status.

In addition, rookie cornerbacks Joey Porter Jr. and Cory Trice are working together on a number of things. Patrick Peterson is continuing the mentor the duo that the Steelers hope can be the future of the team’s secondary. It’s a defense that while having many new faces, has set a high bar for themselves to produce a top unit. By adding a number of high-paid players, including Peterson and Larry Ogunjobi returning, the team believes they could have a defense to be reckoned with in a tough division in the AFC North.
