PITTSBURGH — The Kenny Pickett era is off to a good start for the Steelers. Even though Pickett’s first NFL pass was an interception, Minkah Fitzpatrick got the Steelers the ball right back at the four-yard line for Pickett and the offense.

So, Pickett ran the ball in from one yard out for his first career touchdown against the New York Jets.

It is the first of what the Steelers hope is many touchdowns for Pickett in the upcoming season after Mike Tomlin pulled the trigger to bring Kenny Pickett in at half time.

After the touchdown, the Steelers now lead the Jets 13-10. Pickett has thrown only two passes thus far, an interception and a shovel pass to tight end Zach Gentry.

Pittsburgh had put 139 yards of total offense thus far on the day. Mitch Trubisky ends his game with an interception on 7 of 13 passing for 84 yards. Pittsburgh has now scored five touchdowns offensively throughout their first four games.
