Video: Mitch Trubisky Speaks After Getting Benched

Mitch Trubisky started the Steelers’ Week 4 contest against the Jets –– but Kenny Pickett finished it.

Trubisky went 7-for-13 with no touchdowns and an interception in the first half of the game, prompting Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin to make a change.

Pickett got the nod in the second half, going 10-for-13 for 120 yards, no touchdowns, and three interceptions. While that stat line doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in the Steelers’ 2022 first-round draft pick, he did add two rushing touchdowns and appear to develop a connection with rookie wide receiver George Pickens.

With that, will the Steelers start Pickett next week against the Bills?

Nobody knows –– not even Pickett.

For now, the situation is up in the air, and Trubisky doesn’t sound thrilled about it.
