Raiders Superstar WR May Miss Steelers Game

Steelers Raiders WR Davante Adams

Raiders superstar wide receiver Davante Adams took a nasty hit near the end of the team’s loss to the Buffalo Bills, and Adams is now injured. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Adams, who did not return to the game, is now being evaluated for a concussion after the hit-up high. The Steelers play the Raiders next Sunday on Sunday Night Football in Las Vegas.

The hit knocked Adams out of the game and went straight to the locker room. On the day, Adams caught a touchdown while the Raiders struggled to get anything going offensively. Las Vegas scored a mere ten points against a Bills defense that looked to bounce back following a tough loss against Zach Wilson and the Jets following the Aaron Rodgers injury.

That means this will be another week of monitoring wide receiver injuries. For the Steelers, Diontae Johnson will work back from a hamstring injuries, and while he was immediately ruled out of Monday’s game against the Browns, there could be a chance he suits up against the Raiders. However, the reports were that the injury is a multiple-week injury.

Following the injury, Diontae Johnson could not walk. After a few days of rehab, Johnson earned his strength back into that hamstring and can walk comfortably, the first step in his journey back to the field. The injury happened when Johnson put his right foot into the ground, but as soon as he did that, he collapsed to the ground after his hamstring gave out on him.

Johnson now looks forward to his daily rehab and will remain around the team for the entire duration he is out. He wants to help lead the team, if nothing else. The injuries remain a concern with the Steelers offense, but Johnson classified himself as day-to-day despite not having an accurate timeline for his injury.

As for Adams, he will have to clear the conclusion protocol for the entire week before the Raiders clear him to suit up against the Steelers.
