Steelers RB Najee Harris ‘Good to Go’ in Week 2 Versus Patriots

Steelers RB Najee Harris

Najee Harris is ‘good to go’ for the Steelers in Week 2, and all the tests on his foot came back negative, according to a report by https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/1569443694423732225?s=20&t=KCW37EvHgpYbpPEY0VnaVw”>Adam

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Harris suffered a reaggravation of his lisfranc injury from training camp. However, that seems to have been just a scare, as Harris seems fine. If true, it would mean that the Steelers would be mostly at full strength on the offensive side of the football.

Even with the report, the practice report must be watched closely when it comes to Harris. He is unlikely to be a slam dunk to play and pain tolerance can always be an issue when it comes to injuries. Still, the initial prognosis with Harris is as best as the Steelers could have hoped for as it stands.

It sounds like Najee Harris escaped certain doom with a serious injury. A reported lisfranc injury could have kept him out multiple games. When he hurt it the first time around, Harris missed two weeks of practice and the first two preseason games with the injury. Given that this is a reaggravation, it stands to say that Pittsburgh is likely to play with an abundance of caution towards their star running back throughout the practice week.
