Steelers to Host Georgia State OT Travis Glover for Top 30 Visit
The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting Georgia State offensive tackle Travis Glover for a Top 30 visit, according to a report.
The Pittsburgh Steelers need to add to the offensive line is clear. It is a team that needs a tackle and center, and those positions need addressed by the time the group takes the field in Week 1. And while the first-round options exist for the Steelers at tackle, there have been very few middle round options linked to them.
Until earlier this week, when Tony Pauline said that assistant offensive line coach Isaac Williams helped put Glover through his positional drills. Now, Pauline is reporting that on Wednesday the team is set to host Glover for a Top-30 visit, which is significant.
The stop at Glover’s pro day is now the third stop on the pro day circuit for the Steelers OL coaches, adding Georgia State to Oregon State and Oregon, where Pat Meyer checked out Jackson Powers-Johnson and Taliese Fuaga. Now, Pauline is reporting that on Wednesday the team is set to host Glover for a Top-30 visit.

Glover was a late add in the week at the Senior Bowl, where he impressed in his short time in Mobile. A massive frame, Glover was not at the NFL Combine but earned lots of buzz between his performance at the Senior Bowl and an earlier week at the Hula Bowl. And the tape showcases a mauler with a mentality to destroy everything within his path. In other words, he is a pretty strong cultural fit for what the Steelers want to do on the offensive line.
So, it is not a surprise for the Steelers to be interested in Glover. Typically when the team goes after these smaller school players, they almost always send a position coach out there or at the very least, bring them in for a Top-30 visit, so this is the key first step for the Steelers when it comes to landing someone like Glover.
