Plaxico Burress Rips Cowboys Over Drama: ‘We Address You to Your Face in Pittsburgh’

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Plaxico Burress
December 30 2012: WR Plaxico Burress (80) takes a mment o celebrate his Touchdown catch during the game against the Cleveland Browns at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, PA.

There’s been some inner turmoil with the Dallas Cowboys recently, as safety Malik Hooker called out edge rusher Micah Parsons for being too focused on his podcast. Hooker ironically made the statement on a podcast with former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson.

“My advice for Micah would be just make sure we’re alright and being where you’re feet are,” Hooker said. “Because if we’re at work and, you know, the run game’s terrible but you’re doing a podcast every week and you know the run game is terrible then what are you really caring about? Are you caring about the crowd that was watching the podcast or are you caring about the success of our team and the Super Bowl that we’re trying to reach?”

Parsons fired back with a response, but the post has since-been deleted on X.

“Just wish you said this to me but instead on some podcast! And you got my number family! @MalikHooker24 and you my locker mate!” his post read, per The Dallas Morning News. “So you coulda said this any day! And you do realize I shoot the podcast on our off day! I why ain’t we talking about everyone preparations and focus.”

Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Plaxico Burress thinks what’s going on in Dallas is comical.

“This would never happen in the Pittsburgh Steelers locker room. These things would never happen, because you know what, everybody is their own leader, man. Listen if you got a problem with somebody, it’s going to get addressed, whether you like it or not,” Plaxico Burress said on his Up On Game podcast That is how we governed our football team… Man, we address you to your face as a grown man in Pittsburgh. That’s the difference between playing with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants versus the Dallas Cowboys.”

The Steelers rarely have two current teammates beefing on social media, but former wide receiver Martavis Bryant famously said “lol that’s Sammie coates replacement not minds take it how you want to I am back” after the Steelers drafted JuJu Smith-Schuster in the 2017 NFL Draft. Coats responded with a simple, “Hahahahahaha.”

Bryant was also benched for one game during the 2017 season for blasting Smith-Schuster on Instagram. In response to a fan saying Smith-Schuster is better than him, Bryant said Smith-Schuster is “nowhere near better than me, fool. All they need to do is give me what I want and y’all can have JuJu and whoever else.”
