AT STAKE

From the team perspective, wins and losses preseason games don’t have much of an impact, but focusing on the individuals, there is plenty to be gained and lost by a good or bad performance Saturday night.

With Trubisky getting the starting nod, the pressure will be on Rudolph and Pickett to put together the kind of performance that might tempt Tomlin to upset the order of the quarterback competition.

With Najee Harris and Benny Snell Jr. both banged up and unlikely to play major roles, the team’s backup running backs will get what might be their best shot to make an impact.

Finally, NFL teams must cut down their rosters from 90 players to 85 on Tuesday, so for five players, this will be the end of the road on their 2022 journey.
