Steelers Now reporter Chris Carter digs deep on the Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFL Monday through Friday all year long on Locked on Steelers.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool went on the I Am Athlete podcast and was quoted to say he was a top three receiver in the NFL. But that quote that was pulled for articles and Twitter posts was taken out of context. If you watch the full episode, you’d understand he was talking more about his goals. Chris Carter confirms this by showing his previous 1-on-1 interview with Claypool during minicamp where he made a similar statement.
Claypool isn’t taking this year for granted and has said all the things he’s working on this offseason. But there are three key things from drops, to release work to maximizing his yards after catch that would make him the elite receiver Mitch Trubisky and Kenny Pickett would need for the Steelers’ offense to fly.
Also, a caller asks if inside linebacker should be a free agent concern despite the Steelers having Devin Bush and Myles Jack. The answer might be the return of a recent Steelers linebacker, Joe Schobert.
