Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs did not practice for the third-straight day Friday, and he will not play against the Pittsburgh Steelers, head coach Jon Gruden confirmed Friday.

Jacobs is battling both toe and ankle ailments, injuries that significantly hampered him in the Raiders’ season-opening win over the Baltimore Ravens.

He rushed for 34 yards on ten carries in the win, but did have two touchdowns on the ground.

While the Raiders will not release their official injury report until later this afternoon, it is becoming increasingly unlikely that Jacobs will be healthy enough to suit up Sunday.

If Jacobs is in fact scratched this week, he will be replaced by veteran running back Kenyan Drake, who is more of a pass catcher than bell cow. He caught five passes for 59 yards in Monday’s win, but only rushed for eleven yards on six attempts.
