Rams Wide Receiver Robbed at Gunpoint

Rams WR DeMarcus Robinson

Rams wide receiver DeMarcus Robinson was robbed at gunpoint on Friday morning, TMZ reports. Robinson was at a hotel when two men approached him and demanded his valuables, and he handed over $100,000 in valuables, including an expensive watch.

Robinson is now doing just fine, and no arrests in the case have been made yet. It’s been a whirlwind week for the Rams, and this unfortunate situation with Robinson adds to the craziness that the team has faced following their win over the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday.

Robinson had played in the NFL since 2016 when he was a fourth-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs out of Florida. He spent six seasons with the Chiefs, helping the team to a Super Bowl. Robinson never lit up the stat sheet, but he has always been a pivotal depth receiver, allowing teams to feel comfortable with their depth. In 2022, he joined Las Vegas Raiders, but they cut him in training camp. So, the Baltimore Ravens swooped in, and that is where he spent most of the season, but that lasted just one season. Now, Robinson is a member of the Rams down the depth chart after signing with the team in June.

Robinson has 193 receptions for 2137 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns in his career. He had a career day last year with the Ravens against the Panthers, where he amassed 128 receiving yards and nine receptions in an ugly 13-3 victory for Baltimore.
