Ravens’ Justin Houston was ‘So Close’ to Signing with Steelers, Pittsburgh Offered Better Deal
Ravens pass rusher Justin Houston revealed Saturday he was “so close” to signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers before ultimately choosing Baltimore, who he feels were a better fit.
Houston also divulged that the Steelers offered him a better deal than the Ravens, but that was still not enough to sway him in Pittsburgh’s favor.

Houston’s one-year deal with Baltimore is reportedly worth $2.075 million, according to Spotrac.
The Steelers did not have to wait long once Houston was off the market, quickly signing Melvin Ingram to a one-year, $4 million deal.
