It didn’t take long for the Ravens to replace any production they lost when Willie Snead signed with Las Vegas. Baltimore has agreed on a one-year deal with Sammy Watkins, per national reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

News of Watkins’ signing, which is believed to be one year for $6 million, was reported just hours after the Raiders announced adding Snead from Baltimore. Watkins leaves the potent Chiefs offense, where he spent the last three seasons, to bolster the Ravens offense in their quest to dethrone Kansas City in the AFC. Watkins brings the experience of being part of a team that reached the AFC Championship Game three years in a row, appeared in back-to-back Super Bowls and won a Super Bowl LIV.
Even though Watkins has not been able to fully live up to being selected with the number 4 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft since recording 1,047 yards with Buffalo in 2015, his talent will always make him an attentive option for a team looking to add depth.
The 27-year-old Clemson product is coming off a season where he registered 37 receptions for 421 yards and 2 touchdowns in 10 games.
