Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews left practice in an ambulance Thursday after succumbing to “serious cramping.”
While the situation certainly looked scary after Andrews was initially helped off the field and administered fluids, Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh revealed it was the heat that got to Andrews.
“Mark’s cramping, he’s got some pretty serious cramping going on,” Harbaugh said. “So he’s got to work through it. Humidity really shot up and obviously he’s working super hard and he’s got to get that calmed down a little bit.”

Even though he left the field in an ambulance, Andrews was treated on-site and did not require a trip to the hospital.
