Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell had a free agent workout with the Baltimore Ravens on Monday, according to the NFL transactions page.

Bell, who played with the Steelers from 2013-18, split 2020 between the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs, but has not held and NFL job since his contract expired after Kansas City’s loss to Tampa Bay in Super Bowl LV.

The Ravens have a need at the running back position after placing starter J.K. Dobbins on injured reserve with a torn ACL. Gus Edwards and Ty’Son Williams are expected to help carry the load.

Bell’s production has slipped significantly since sitting out the entire 2018 season in order to leave Pittsburgh. He rushed for 789 yards on 245 carries with the Jets in 2019 and set a career low with 328 yards on 82 carries between New York and Kansas City in 2020.

The Ravens also worked out former Atlanta Falcons back Devonta Freeman.
