The injury bug was all too common in Pittsburgh last season, but it is the Ravens that are dealing with significant absences as training camp continues to roll on.

With a carousel of offensive pieces missing practices for a litany of reasons, including quarterback Lamar Jackson, the Ravens were in search of some good news on the injury front.

They received the opposite in regards to wide receiver Marquise Brown.

Brown, one of Jackson’s favorite targets, left practice with a hamstring injury late last week out of precaution. Now, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic is reporting that the injury could be much worse for the wideout than the Ravens originally believed.

In two seasons with Baltimore, Brown has 15 touchdown receptions and 1,353 receiving yards to his credit. Although the Ravens had a lackluster passing attack in 2020, Brown saw increases in his total yards and receptions for the season while cementing himself as a big play threat.

Brown’s timetable for a return might be in limbo, but ESPN’s Jamison Hensley reports that Jackson might be back by the end of this week.

In total, there were 14 absences from the Ravens’ practice on Wednesday morning according to Zrebiec.
