PITTSBURGH – Running back Anthony McFarland Jr., joins the usual suspects on the inactive list for the Steelers Monday Night Football game against the Chicago Bears.

McFarland’s absence comes as somewhat of a surprise since he did play last week in Cleveland. The Maryland product rushed for only 1 yard on just one carry in the game.

Tight end Eric Ebron will miss his second consecutive game with a hamstring injury and offensive tackle Zach Banner, linebacker Buddy Johnson and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon remain unable to get on the field. As expected, third string quarterback Dwayne Haskins will also not be available.

With Ebron’s absence, the Steelers are expected to again rely on rookie Pat Freiermuth and third-year backup Zach Gentry to be heavily involved in the offense. The Steelers dressed just two tight ends against Cleveland, but will activate Kevin Rader from their practice squad to be a third tight end option for the game.

For a positive note, kicker Chris Boswell, who left the game last week, is able to go tonight after going through concussion protocols throughout the week.
