Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris has been named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for October, the league announced on Thursday.
Harris recorded at least 90 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown in each of his four games in the month, with a total of 356 rushing yards on 88 carries. Harris also caught 17 passes for 124 yards.
In total, Harris has 128 carries for 479 yards this season for a 3.7 yard per carry average and has caught 37 of 49 targets for 273 yards. He has scored five total touchdowns.
Harris is the third Steelers player to win the award, and first in over 15 years joining Ben Roethlisberger (October 2004) and Heath Miller (October 2005).
Linebacker Nick Bolton of the Kansas City Chiefs won the Defensive Rookie of the Month. Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. were honored in September.
