With the 51st overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected West Virginia center Zach Frazier. Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth https://twitter.com/WVUfootball/status/1784018548345713015″>announced

the pick at the draft in Detroit.

For the first time since selecting David DeCastro and Mike Adams in 2012, Pittsburgh has selected an offensive lineman with their first two picks. Omar Khan and Andy Weidl have made the offensive line a top priority since entering their roles following the 2022 NFL Draft. They want to dominate up front and run the ball.

Frazier, who’s a Fairmont, W.Va. native, has been heavily linked to the team throughout the pre-draft process. He’ll now make the 75 mile trip north from Morgantown to Pittsburgh and try to continue the team’s strong lineage of centers.

Several current and past players, analysts, and reporters commented on the Frazier pick.
