Report: Bengals, Safety Jessie Bates III Not Expected to Reach Extension
The Cincinnati Bengals could lose one of their defensive stars next offseason, which is good news for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Cincinnati and safety Jessie Bates III are reportedly not expected to come to terms on a contract extension, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Bates, who is coming off a career year in 2020, is set to hit free agency after this season.
A second round pick out of Wake Forest in 2018, Bates has never missed a start over his three-year career.
He has recorded 320 combined tackles, 31 passes defended and nine interceptions since arriving in Cincinnati.
