NFL teams will reportedly permitted a maximum of just five tryout players at rookie minicamps in late May, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Clubs typically invite scores of players compete and make an impression alongside their rookies and recently signed undrafted free agents. It is typically an incredible opportunity for unsung players to pursue their NFL dreams.

Rookie minicamps were cancelled all together in 2020, meaning hundreds of players will now be robbed of their chance showcase themselves for the second-straight year.
Notable players that got their big breaks from rookie minicamps include Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen, Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Chris Harris and former Steelers quarterback Devlin Hodges
The announcement by the league comes as they continue to navigate the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
