Report: Former Bengals TE C.J. Uzomah Signs with Jets
While the Cincinnati Bengals addressed quarterback Joe Burrow’s protection on Monday, he is losing one of his top weapons.
According to multiple reports, former Bengals tight end C.J. Uzomah is signing a three-year, $24 million deal with the New York Jets.
Uzomah had been a Cincinnati staple since being drafted by the franchise out of Auburn in 2015.
He emerged as a reliable target for Burrow in a crowded group of Bengals pass catchers with 49 receptions for 493 yards and five touchdowns a season ago.
New York hopes Uzomah will provide the same for Zach Wilson, as he looks to bounce back in his second year.
