Quarterback Josh Dobbs has agreed to a one-year deal with a key Steelers rival. Dobbs will join the Cleveland Browns, according to former NFL scout Mike McCartney.

Dobbs will now experience the Steelers-Browns rivalry from the other side. He spent the entire 2021 season on the injured reserve list after suffering a turf toe injury in training camp.

He alluded to the move with a cryptic tweet.

Throughout two different tenures in Pittsburgh over 5 years, Dobbs played in only six games. He totaled 45 yards in those games, most notably five appearances in the 2018 season.

Dobbs joined the Steelers as a fourth round draft pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. The Steelers traded Dobbs to the Jacksonville Jaguars prior to the 2019 season, but claimed him off waivers the following season.

Before signing with the Browns, Dobbs tried out for the Patriots and Ravens.
